Embassy of Japan hosted a Ramadan Iftar 2026

On February 26, 2026, Ambassador Yasunari Moreno hosted an Iftar banquet at the Palace of Culture in the Diplomatic Quarter of Riyadh. The event was attended by  Saudi alumni from Japanese universities and academic institutions.

During the event, Ambassador Moreno delivered a speech in which he expressed his pleasure at being able to share this sacred moment of Ramadan together and noted that the iftar gathering was an important opportunity to share hopes for further strengthening the friendly relations between Japan and Saudi Arabia.

In addition, Ms. Hamida Mohsin Hamada, who received the Silver Award at the 19th Japan International Manga Award, was invited as a special guest. Ambassador Morino congratulated her on her deep passion for manga art, her outstanding creativity, and her sincere efforts to improve her skills.
