Saudi Judo The Ambassador of Japan Cup 2025

　On October 4, 2025, the Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in cooperation with the Saudi Judo Federation, hosted the Ambassador of Japan Cup. Ambassador Yasunari Morino and Mrs. Chie Morino attended the event.

　This special tournament was held to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Saudi Arabia, bringing together numerous judoka and judo enthusiasts under the shared spirit of friendship and mutual respect.

　During the event, distinguished Japanese judoka Ms. Natsumi Tsunoda and Mr. Joshiro Maruyama gave an impressive demonstration, inspiring participants with their outstanding techniques and sportsmanship. This exchange through sports provided a valuable opportunity to further strengthen the bonds of friendship between Japan and Saudi Arabia.
