Kendo Equipment Donation Ceremony Held in Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Japan–Saudi Diplomatic Relations

　On June 25, 2025, the Embassy of Japan in Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee and with the support of the All Japan Kendo Federation, held a donation ceremony for Kendo equipment.

　This donation was carried out as part of a cultural exchange initiative commemorating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Saudi Arabia, with cooperation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the All Japan Kendo Federation.

　The ceremony was attended by Mr. Abdulaziz Baeshen, Secretary-General of the Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee, as well as members of the Saudi Kendo community and officials from the Committee. The event provided an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of sports and cultural exchange between Japan and Saudi Arabia.

　We hope that the spirit of Japanese martial arts will contribute to the development of Saudi youth and help deepen mutual understanding between our two nations. The Embassy remains committed to supporting the continued growth of Kendo in Saudi Arabia.
