On March 13, Ambassador Yasunari Moreno hosted an Iftar banquet at the Palace of Culture in the Diplomatic Quarter of Riyadh. The event was attended by several Saudi graduates from Japanese universities and academic institutions.

During the event, Ambassador Moreno delivered a speech in which he expressed his delight at sharing this sacred Ramadan moment with his esteemed guests, extending his wishes for peace, joy, and harmony to all.

This year marks the seventieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—a significant milestone in the strong and growing partnership between the two nations.

The Ambassador highlighted the high-level reciprocal visits and cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, and technology, as well as the increasing investments by Japanese companies in the Kingdom.

He also commended the tremendous success of the "Nihon Matsuri" festival, which attracted approximately 8,000 visitors, reflecting the rising interest of the Saudi public in Japanese culture. Furthermore, he praised the success of the Japanese Speech Competition, which showcased the outstanding linguistic talents of the participants.
