Embassy of Japan celebrated Emperor’s Birthday in 2025

On February 20, 2025, at his residence in Riyadh, Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Mr. Yasunari Morino, hosted a reception to celebrate the 65th birthday of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan. HH Prince Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Mayor of Riyadh Region attended the reception and many guests from the Saudi government, diplomatic corps, and private sectors attended this reception.
In his remarks, Ambassador Morino highlighted the steady development of bilateral relations between Japan and Saudi Arabia, noting that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Ambassador Morino also mentioned the expansion of economic cooperation between Japan and Saudi Arabia across various sectors and Japan’s efforts to attract foreign direct investments and the continued growth of cultural and people-to-people exchanges as well as the upcoming Kansai-Osaka Expo.
