The opening ceremony of the Japanese Art Exhibition“Manga Hokusai Manga: Approaching the Master’s Compendium from the Perspective of Contemporary Comics”

On January 14, H.E. Mr. Yasunari MORINO, Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, attended the opening ceremony of the Japanese art exhibition “Manga Hokusai Manga: Approaching the Master’s Compendium from the Perspective of Contemporary Comics” at Saudi Arabia Museum of Contemporary Art (SAMoCA). This exhibition is a commemorative event of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Saudi Arabia.
During his speech in the opening ceremony, Ambassador Morino said: “I sincerely hope this exhibition will make another footprint of the Japanese culture in KSA and give a great impact in the Saudi art scene.”
The exhibition is organized in cooperation with Saudi Museums Commission and the Japan Foundation and is open to public at SAMoCA until February 8th, 2025.
