Japanese Festival 2022

Embassy of Japan in Riyadh has organized “Japanese Festival” introducing Japanese popular culture and food between 6 to 12 March 2022, in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Culture.
At the Japanese Food Lecture and Demonstration, Ambassador’s Chef Mr. Tanaka demonstrated salmon cutting and cooking of Sushi and Tempura.
On the second and the third day, the Embassy has screened 2 Japanese movies “Every Day a Good Day” and “A Tale of Samurai Cooking” with Arabic subtitles.
This year’s Japanese Speech Contest witnessed the highest ever contestants numbering to 20. Participants enjoyed exchanging their ideas with Japanese companies’ people at the end of the contest.
At the Japanese Cultural Experience held at the last two days of the week, which exhibited a series of cultural demonstration such as Kimono (Japanese Traditional Costume), Japanese Calligraphy, Japanese traditional games and plays (Kendama, Otedama, Origami, etc), exhibitions by Japanese companies, and live cultural performances (WADAIKO, IAI, AIKIDO, and KARATE), attracting lots of visitors in the two days.
