On the 17th of February, Minister, Deputy Chief of Mission, Hirofumi Miyake, attended the seventh batch virtual workshop on Home Appliances Energy Efficiency in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, organized by SEHAI.
This workshop has been held seven times, since February of 2015. The theme of this year is also to grow the awareness of energy efficiency and conservation, and around 200 SEHAI students attended and had active discussion.
The energy efficiency and conservation will be getting more important in KSA in order to realize the circular carbon economy(CCE),which was presented by Saudi Arabia in G20 last year. In this regard, Japanese experts of METI and Japanese private companies have been making enormous contribution to the policy making process and the awareness of energy efficiency in KSA over the past 8 years.
