JAPAN eVISA (Apply for VISA online)
All nationals who reside in Saudi Arabia are able to apply for a tourist visa online (Single entry visa for a stay up to 90 days).
Applicants can submit the visa application through the JAPAN eVISA website (fill in the application form and upload supporting documents) to receive the electronic visa, “Visa Issuance Notice”.
Please note that if you enter incorrect information or if required documents are missing when applying, your application will not be reviewed.
For business purpose,visiting relatives or acquaintances,or attending conference, please apply at the consular of the embassy.
Applicants are required to log-in to the JAPAN eVISA website and display “Visa Issuance Notice” at the departure airport under the Internet environment. PDF data, screenshot or printout of the page will not be accepted.
Visa fee online payment (from July 10, 2023)
If a visa fee is applicable (depending on nationality), payment must be online by a Credit/Debit card.
Accepted Credit card brands: Visa / Mastercard / American Express / Diners Club / JCB
Accepted Debit card brands: Visa / Mastercard
NOTE:
1 Please be sure to submit the application at least 7 days before the scheduled arrival date of Japan. The visas are valid for 3 months from the date of issue.
2 Entering incorrect information and/or uploading the required documents inadequately could lead to a delay of examination or cancellation of your eVISA application.

Notes
・Application form has to be filled out completely by the applicant and signed.
・Photo has to be taken within the last 6 months, size of 45mm x 35mm, plain background.
・Passport should have at least 2 blank visa pages and be valid when you enter Japan
・Application without original passport is not to be accepted. However, if an applicant wishes to retain the passport for urgent travel, some cases will be considered upon a written request.
・In case a visa is not granted, we usually explain Criteria of Visa Issuance but cannot disclose the reasons of such refusal to the applicant or person concerned. We do not accept the application from the same person for the same purpose of visit within six months from the date of the visa refusal.
Countries or Regions that do not require a visa to enter Japan
It is for the stay of up to 90 days for the activities such as tourism, business, visiting friends or relatives, etc. but do not include remunerative activities.
Ordinary passport holders of KSA nationality

Visa for Medical Stay
Works and Long-Term Stay
For Works and Long-Term Stays exceeding 90 days, it is advisable to apply by a proxy in Japan beforehand for Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Ministry of Justice in Japan. (Procedures Chart for Work or Long-Term Stay)
For details how to get the Certificate of Eligibility, please ask your proxy in Japan to consult with the nearest Regional Immigration Services Bureau.

Diplomatic / Official passport holders of KSA nationality
（Required documents）
・Valid Passport
・Application form and 1 photo
・Note verbal from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs certifying the identity of the person concerned, his or her purposes and traveling schedule to Japan.
Application/Pick-up
Application hours : 08:30 -12:00 (excluding Fridays, Saturdays and special holidays).
Pick-up hours : 13:15-15:15 (excluding Fridays, Saturdays and special holidays).
The standard processing period is five working days from the next day after the date of the application. But in some cases it may take longer.

For JAPAN eVISA only, payment can be done either by online (Credit/Debit card) or in Cash at the Embassy.
The visa fee must be paid in cash in the case of visas that are submitted at the Consular Section of the Embassy, Personal checks and credit cards are not accepted.
Visa fee will be gratis for Diplomatic and Official passport holder, and nationals from countries that have reciprocal agreements with Japan.
