The 3rd International MANGA Award (December 17th, 2008)


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will organize the 3rd International MANGA Award Contest followed by 2006 and 2007. (See regarding the history of the contest and the results in the past 2 years.) This contest was inaugurated by H.E. Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Taro ASO, when he was the Minister for Foreign Affairs.

MANGA, originally means a printed animation in Japanese became so popular to represent one of Japanese modern culture that MANGA becomes an international term.

This contest aims at giving an opportunity to Saudi nationals and other nationals living in the Kingdom to present their high skill of producing MANGA and to encourage their further works.

Those who are interested in participating in this contest are requested (a) to read through the guideline, (b) fill in the application form and (c) send the application form and entry work (hard copy) to the Executive Committee or the Embassy of Japan in Riyadh until Saturday, January 31, 2009.
